Leaderscreen Elimination Thread

Washington- 10 (+1) I don't know why Washington is down so many points. There are other leaderscreens that are just plain and boring.

+1 Enrico: I like the background, I like the colours, I like his clothes, I like his posing, but most of all I like the voice. Fits him perfectly and the acting is great too, amigo mio.

-3 Suleiman: I like his character but something about the leaderscreen doesn't make it particularly pretty to look at, something to do with the colours or the lighting.

+1 to Dandy again. Great voice acting fitting the character model, Venice looks awesome at night, his clothes look cool and comfy. Dandy is a nice, huggable grandpa in Civ 5, but he should definitely eat a bit more.

The steppe may be fitting Genghis, but meh... It's kind of bland. Not sure if he deserves the vote because at least he isn't a vegetarian (as evidenced by him telling us to eat sausage), but -3 nonetheless as he shouldn't be at 20.

Gandhi - It's not exactly his background that annoys me. It's simple and non-representative, but at least is beautiful. What really pisses me off is his constant expression of weakness and passivity, specially when at war

Askia - Got to defend the man: his leaderscreen is incredibly beuatiful, with the sunset behind the hills and the climax around the burning city. His clothes, his beard and his sword are also awesome

I'll go ahead and finish off Gandhi here, then. Considering the iconic Indian architecture they could have used, going with the non-representative successories background is silly and off.

Shaka, on the other hand, feels like he's a part of his background, not just in front of it. The whole thing feels captivating and alive.

Bismarck- 14 + 1 = 15 - I like Bismarck's leaderscreen. Though it was better in that early concept video where he had advisers in the background plotting out diplomatic/military strategy around that table, it still gives the feeling that you're meeting with one of the greatest statesmen of the 19th Century.

Bismarck's leaderscreen is pretty good. The Iron Chancellor himself looks great and his emotions complete the scene. The background may be somewhat bland but it reminds me of the paining "The proclamation of the German Empire".

Ramesses has a nice background but he looks really bad himself. His body is too deformed.

Where can I see this concept?

I have the same feelings about Wu Zetian....

I think the consensus here is "visuals first, voice and music later". But you can vote against Sejong if his voice is so terrible for you that it ruins the entire leaderscreen. I will eventually do this to Wu for sure.

And I think I will do it for Dido, Pacal, Augustus (nebby is down), and maybe Darius (Aramic?).

...and maybe Darius (Aramic?).

And not for Ramesses who speaks completelly unrelated language which wasn't around for 1700 years after his reign, considering there was a possibility to use much more appropriate language?

I love Ottoman Palace with cool music and beard and belly of our Mighty Sultan. :D

For God's sake William looks like a clown.

With Ramesses I might Accept the excuse of "there is no pronouncement rules of the language", but giving him Arabic is really shame, considering what is happening in reality in Egypt.
Oh and the Persian Language is still alive, it is not a Dead language (though it is different than what was spoken back in the Achaemenid Empire, and even from the Sassanid)
And Nebby should have Aramic IMHO, But Akkadian is still acceptable, though it doesn't sounds like a Semitic language at all to me with the way he pronounce it (and I speak Hebrew).

Would Coptic be a more sensible language to use then?
