Fall patch is out

Wow, fantastic patch. Just sat and played a solid couple of hours and I am amazed and overjoyed to see the AI actively seeking to colonise overseas in the early game. First 50 turns Russia had setup a city on my continent and I noticed Rome had also been setting us bases on new lands. This is better.

Great works Firaxis!

I'm a little disappointed to see they didn't add anything about submarines being visible to units that shouldn't be able to see them (having a nuclear submarine bombarded by an archer on land or a frigate is a little implausible, I think). I was hoping that would be addressed. I'd still like to see subs be able to enter enemy territory, but to be fair to Firaxis, none of this stuff was listed in the original notes on the patch. Hopefully they'll do something about it in the next one.

Vcutag, are you sure your sub is not being spotted by either another sub, a nuclear sub, a destroyer, or a missile cruiser? Then once it is spotted that turn, other enemy units know where to target.

I would like to confirm... there's SUPPOSED to be a "processing turn" popup on the screen between turns, right?

It's on the middle bottom of the screen.

- Add a separate graphics option for enabling/disabling the GPU texture decode.

this option is greyed out for me. do we know what video cards this option works on?

am using win7 and nvidia gtx 560 ti

I can select it on my GTX560Ti. I hoped it will help with graphic errors and textures loading slowly, but it did not.

This option is primarily for the leader scenes.

Awsome patch! My game is no longer laggy, and the time inbetween turns is down by about 75%. Resumed my saved game, just myself and Germany left on a pangea.

Germany had conquered Romes 7 cities, and the mongolians 5 cties, puppeted for years they imediately annexed all major cities, built courthouses and started pumping out units! I have to change my game play now because the amount of units being pumped out just got crazy.

The other change I saw was a very aggressive stance towards City states from the powerful Germany. They gave up on paying them and conquered 6 within 60 turns, I play on epic. There was no fall out from the other city states, did I miss this in a previous patch that the city states do not all declare war on you anymore. Essentially the city states were just sitting targets, with valuable resources waiting to be conquered, seems a bit flawed to me.

Overall smoother game play, less time waiting inbetween turns, and a lot of new features to work with particularely the annexing of cities by the AI.

Thats a shock, way or the influence but was really hoping for a multiplier, such as +50% faith, would actually make Freedom GP tiles worth settling... oh well...
