Too easy

I just played my first Civ Revolution game. It was way too easy. It started with Arabs declaring war on me(America). To get to them, I needed to go through Egyptian territory. I conquered Thebes, but then failed to destroy the Arabs. After a long wait, I easily killed the Aztecs(all cities), then the illogical started. Arabia was so backwards, I was fighting Archers with Tanks! Arabia got crushed(left them with a island city). Meanwhile, the Germans had also attacked me. Berlin was an easy take. Bam! Domination.

What level are you playing?

Whenever I play Civilization Revolution on my iPad. The other civilizations never attack my cities. Also barbarians are never usually a threat.
