Weird Bug

I haven't heard of this one before. I am playing Roman, Warlord difficulty, and had gotten to the Stealth advance, when the Future Technology appeared with it, but instead of Future Technology 1, it was Future Technology 37! And it showed up that way in my Civilization score. Now I do have a game saved, but English. same difficulty, that has advanced to that stage before I abandoned it (bored - adversaries reduced to feebs). Do you think it could have "bled over?" Somehow?
