So, I reinstalled Civ IV (got Civ 3 + IV + V all for 25 dollars on the last sale)...and no fix.

I can play vanilla Civ IV just fine. I did a 30 minute play test to make sure

However, if I try to play Master of Mana. If I try to go to the menu from in-game, it 50/50 chance of crashing to the desktop.

If I make my city, it has a 30/100 chance of crashing to the desktop before it loads into the game

If I make it in-game...I can go 2-3 turns and I get a ctd to desktop.

I tried this (though a bit old): http://forums.civfanatics.com/archive/index.php/t-400917.html

I also tried this: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=266909

I also tried setting the launch option in steam launch settings...

This is the error message(s) I get, only when I use Master of Mana...again, vanilla Civ IV works fine

Those three I keep getting, when using Master of Mana, with Steam Civ IV.

Any idea how to fix this? I 99% got Civ IV to begin with, for this mod. Not a big fan of modern/future eras...I like more medieval/fantasy. So, I don't actually plan to play vanilla Civ IV. So, hopefully I can get this working. Or I pretty much wasted 10-15 dollars or however much it was.

Thanks for any help :)

Also, totally forgot...

Windows 7 64bit is my operating system. Geforce 260GTX nvidia card (896 mb)...and 8 gig DDR3 ram, if that matters at all. And a 1920x1080 monitor.

The strange thing is. When I played last night (when I first installed)...I didn't have any crashes going to menu or in-game. It all started today and I haven't updated anything from yesterday to today. In fact, the last update was...3 or 4 days ago, and it was just updating flash. The last windows update was about 5 days ago. Before I even bought Civ IV.

I don't know why it suddenly broke, when it was working fine. Or maybe I didn't play long enough to notice.

I your other post, you mentioned you use large amount of civs, like 23. Wildmana isn't very stable with more then 7-8 civs, even on fastest computers. Maybe this is a reason ? or it happens with lower amount of civs as well ?

Ah, yeah...that was it. I'll use 7 or 8 then. Was hoping to be able to have every civ in the game, but that is okay...would rather have a stable game.

Thanks for the help :)

lol.
I just proposed in your other thread to not use all civs...
well, "shangaied" (by 10hours) by an other thread :D
