Announce your new/updated Civ3 files for front-page coverage!

Anything posted after this post will not be included in the upcoming announcement, but in the next one.
 
Just noticed how long the thread is. not sure what the upper limit is, but there is a maximum number of posts allowed for any thread. Just after an announcement might be the best time to start a new thread. With the added advantage that since you would be making the OP, you can edit it as needed to provide basic long-term info. Don't need my silly formatting requirements cluttering up the OP anymore, for example.
 
I've been thinking about such a thing… by and large I am following the existent format because it's a good one (if it isn't broken, don't fix it) and because of the backlog.

In the Off-Topic forum, the upper limit for serial threads is one thousand posts. Game threads in the forum games section tend to be allowed to continue until the game ends. Some threads do cycle through in the Creation and Customisation forums, such as RFRE, Rhye's, Fall From Heaven, etc. and they get renewed, but I don't know the standards for those.

What's new in this version?: this upload was compiled by Civinator and it contains 130 new unit folders, ones that replaced placeholder gfx, mostly ships. this version is fully patched from previous versions. so only need to DL once :) see link above for DL details.
