Yes it will, and yes you did.

<DeleteMissingReferences> requires a primary table (one with both an ID and a Type column) and removes all references in secondary tables (usually those with an underscore (_) in their name and a column named as {Primary}Type)

These are the errors you need to track down and fix. Note that an error in an XML file causes the entire file to fail, which is usually not true for SQL files.

Ok, I've been able to fix the previous errors in this thread - the game setup screen now shows up correctly and fixed the errors from the database log.

***CURRENT MAJOR ERROR: The game crashes every time I try to start a new game!***

they're Firaxis errors.

I get those same exact errors. Plus I always get a set that starts with these lines:

by downloading Kyte's Dynamic Culture Overview, as it was trying to index buildings which no longer existed, but the game still crashed! And this time there were no errors either in the Lua or in the Database to provide a reason why.

Is there a minimum number of culture buildings necessary? Or a minimum number of civilizations? Currently there are 9 civilizations and 2 culture buildings - would that be causing the game to crash?

Could he be getting file discard from using 'true' and 'false' in some places within his SQL files instead of 1 or 0 ? Not sure if it needs to be presented as 1 or '1' when used to assign the on/off state of the column, as in:
