Separate sliders for AI Strength and Handicap

Assuming there are actually varying AI Strengths (and not just varying bonuses/cheating), there should be TWO separate sliders:

one for AI Strength (dumb-slow-average-smart-genius)

and another for AI Handicap (Bonus to Human-No Bonuses-Small Bonus to AI-Medium Bonus to AI-Big Bonus to AI)

This way if you wanted (for example) to play with Genius AI Strength but with No Bonuses, you could do that. With some other games they force you to accept AI bonuses in order to play the strongest AI, but with two separate sliders you don't have this problem.

You could also have a third slider that controls AI aggressiveness like in Civ 3.

But I suspect there are no varying strenghts for AI in Civ 4 (just like there wasn't in Civ 3). But if there are PLEASE implement this idea :)
 
Great idea, but I think the AI simply isn't stragegically strong enough for that yet.
