There is not much benefit to predicting behaivior when monty has you pinned and all alone. That SOB has ruined so many games within the first 200 turns for me.

That is because you are playing RFC. This is for a normal game. I think the AI tendencies/attitudes are tweaked in RFC.

My own experiences are that agression isnt the key, its the ability to declare at pleased

Ragnar, Monty, Hannibal, Shaka and Alex stand out to me...oh and ghengis

I can remember rage quitting when i started a new pangea game, i had a great start (tonnes of food and gold)- but NO metal, and monty, alex and ghengis khan for neighbours

In the same turn ghengis and monty declared on me, about a dozen turns later alex declared too..

Some of the leaders declare war despite the fact that they're obviously going to lose. Montezuma once declared war on me when he had cavalry and riflemen against tanks, artillery and machine gunners.
