River not recognised by city

Built a city beside a river - however the hex the city is on, and the city screen itself do not recognise they are on a river - thus cannot build a watermill etc

the river shows up on both views and all other hexes on both sides of the river register fine - just not the one my city is on

Yes, that is earth map with the city in the position of the modern Suez Canal. I confirm this, but also it's an aspect of this map in particular and not the game in general.

Here is my save from yesterday, 4000bc poland capital founded in same spot, emp difficulty, epic game speed. It actually panned out to be a really fun game. It's cool when you can found a city there, as it's like the nexus of the continents.
