I guess this explains the lore disjoint in BE

No canon faction interaction, no connecting quotes, no apparent "winner" like SMAC. In fact, the intro implies that the player faction was the only one to arrive to their planet.

I am bothered by Civ:BE lore. Instead of having the faction leader be the rep on each planet, it should be their proxy. I know the whole sic-fi suspend disbelief, but still.... It's actually always bothered me about Civ. Paradox does it right... Civ, not so much. AC did it right as well.
