but a very nice job being a commie cheezy. I think we find common ground

The only common ground you will every have with a communist is when the mass grave you're buried in following the revolution, may one day have a cemetery built on top of it.

Edit: No that was not a threath, just a prediction.

Go ahead and do me. But it's not like I make posts that people notice (also, I changed usernames, but my avatar should be recognizable if people were going to recognize me anyway).

I'll contribute later when I have the time, but so far this thread is everyone opting in w/o describing each other.

I'm in.

Feel free to rate me. Could be interesting.

Old-school

Opting in, but not at this time ready to rate others.

Basically a good guy who happened to grow up in the wrong place. I bet deep deep down you are a lot less right-wing.

DT in the house.

Getting somewhat disillusioned... I'm hopeful this will drive you to the left

I will opt in though I won't be describing people political views.

I'm very surprised you vote Blueshirt... you seem like a Labour man to me. If you were a Dub you probably would be

I'll opt in.

Extreme right

I suppose I should submit myself for peer review as well. No matter what you say, I've certainly heard worse.

Right where we all should be

Distressingly rational and calm... you play your cards very close to your chest, but I'd say you are a socialist who doesn't call themselves a socialist.

Since I've been labelled a fascist in another thread twice, it would be interesting to know whether this is a general consensus here.

Russian nationalist-fascist social authoritarian

No, if anything I'm a rootless cosmopolitan.

I don't think you are a fascist, but I don't think you think there's a whole lot wrong with fascism either

I'll add my platform tomorrow sometime but for now the people who know my ideology can give me a piece of there mind or whatever we're supposed to do here.

Someone called you a Russian nationalist-fascist?

It was Karalysia, and whatever Kara posts is not srs bsns.

Opting in.

I would say that basically I would call myself a [wiki]Christian Democrat[/wiki]
* In common with conservatism, traditional moral values (on marriage, abortion, etc.), opposition to secularization, a view of the evolutionary (as opposed to revolutionary) development of society, an emphasis on law and order, and a rejection of communism.
* In contrast to conservatism, open to change (for example, in the structure of society) and not necessarily supportive of the social status quo.
* In common with liberalism, an emphasis on human rights and individual initiative.
* In contrast to liberalism, a rejection of secularism, and an emphasis on the fact that the individual is part of a community and has duties towards it.
* In common with socialism, an emphasis on the community, social solidarity, support for a welfare state, and support for some regulation of market forces.
* In contrast with socialism, supports a market economy and does not adhere to the class struggle doctrine.

That would be a good start on what I generally believe politically.

I don't think you are a fascist, but I don't think you think there's a whole lot wrong with fascism either
Racism, totalitarianism, single-party state, suppression of individuality and legitimization of wars of aggression would be the chief things that are wrong with fascism.
I am not sure how much remains if you remove these elements. Their economic policies may have some merit. I do not claim expertise here, but since I see flaws with both capitalism and communism, I am somewhat partial to searches of a third way.

There are a lot of people in this thread, so I've made a key. Y means yes, N = no, D = don't know, sometimes, or other.

The first letter answers the question, "When I see that this person has posted something, do I generally expect something worth reading?" People with Y are people whose posts I therefore always read, D I mostly read, while those with an N I more often than not regret reading.

The second letter answers the question, "Does this person have well thought out political views?" People who have demonstrated a strong, well reasoned understanding of the general issues of politics, democracy and liberty, as well as specific issues such as economics, welfare and education, have a Y next to their names. People with an N next to their names are either ignorant of some or most of these things and/or have got them completely arse about face.

The third, more bluntly, asks whether or not I generally agree with the poster. This is probably the least important of the three, which is why it is last, but I think it's useful to know nonetheless. In the cases where I don't really know a poster that well, I'll go solely by what they've said in this thread about their views.

Positive view of poster | Well thought out | Agree with poster

I'm a Neoconservative, Catholic, heterosexual male with old-fashioned syntax. Quite frankly, I mostly stop and consider feminine avatars, so;

Very much so. In my view, art is where one seeks truth, just as science is where one seeks facts.

In my view, art is beauty and science is truth, but your mileage may very.

Mise, I cannot remember more than 2 or 3 topics where we have generally agreed with eachother

I disagree :p

Generally we disagree on the facts; there are only really two issues we disagree on in principle. First is the recent rape game thing, second is anything to do with Venezuela, Russia, etc. I consider left wingers to be agreeable in principle, but have things arse about face, which is why you get an N in the 2nd column but a Y in the third. Outright communists, though, get an N in both columns.

We disagree vastly on almost everything, from what I can see... you are far to the right of me economically (in principle; I amn't well up enough on economics to express myself or argue properly on them), and I'm far more authoritarian than you socially. IIRC, your views on internaitonal matters are way more pro 'western' than mine too... we both hate the BNP and don't trust airlines, that's about it

I've recently noticed I'm not generally considered a communist, why is this?
