Often i see things such as Archeologist will be made in 2 turns, and after he made i see next one will be made in one turn etc.
So do leftover hammers go for next item or do i miss something?

Do they snowball? Like you get 40 excess hammers, 100 production and build 20 hammer item - next turn you get 120 excess hammers?

I think that the overflow is capped at the cost of what you are building, so your situation can't really happen (or at least, has a hard limit).

I dont know where I heard that though...

I never bothered with this mechanic in vanilla and GnK, but with caravans and venice ridiculous production those questions popped up
