We would like to discuss research plans with you. CFC's scientists have worked very hard lately and are about to uncover the secrets of pottery. We would of course be happy to share this technology with you, if you wish - of course this requires knowledge of the Alphabet. We are discussing what to research next, and your progress plays an important part in this. From the chats between our two nations we recall that you were planning to discover Alphabet around this time.

We are excited to trade technologies with you, however the delay we experienced these past few weeks is increasing the risk that much of our research will overlap and be wasted. Could you tell us how this research is progressing? Are you researching Alphabet already, and can you give us an updated ETA?

OK, I've only been here one day, but . . . These guys again? Seriously?

This is just like them, and we've seen it play out twice. They agree to something, then they say they need time to think it over, then they said it failed internally on their poll, but they just need us to make a couple of concessions to what they want. Then they send us an agreement that is wrong, then they lamely apologize, but somehow still seem snarky and condescending about it.

And then, out of nowhere, they invade us. Something about GCA's website turns their players evil. It's like the LOTR "One Ring" of internet browsing.
 
i wouldnt look at it like that, i used to post at gca and its tbh quite dead now with most of the old crowd moved on.

The great people of Fanatica and the Gamecatcher Alliance agree to the following Border Treaty for mutual prosperity and cooperation.

1. Both teams agree to Open Borders for enhanced trade and economic cooperation.

2. All civilian units may enter and pass through opposite territory with a prior notification.

3. No military units may enter the opposite territory without explicit permission.

4. The desert landbridge counts as the extended border region between our people and is subject to points #2 and #3 as well, with the exception of a single scouting unit placed at maximum next to the opposite cultural border.

The acception of the in-game Open Borders will count as the full acception of this treaty.
For a prosperous cooperation!

We will send you the Open Borders and if you agree to this treaty, just accept it in the game and send it back signed. If you want minor revisions, i.e. clarifications or other wording, you can still accept and we will change that. Ship passage for later times can be discussed in a treaty amendment.
If any major revisions are needed, just decline and send a counter-proposal.

We apologize (again...) for delays in our answers. And as we understand your
perplexity, we are going to explain why situations seem difficult for us. As

communication between our teams.

We truly understand that mails were sent to 2 peoples of our team that
weren't received or lost. The result was that we thought that we received
only one message for 2 months and this message said "we met GWT".

As fear is a great ennemy for partnership, we thought that you found 2 other
allied and you did not want to contact us any more. In reaction, we
immediatly stopped to research for alphabet in order to have more important

As we received your last message, we found ourselves in bad situation as our

You explained us having good relations with COG. Could you give some details
about the agreements in discussion and their answer ? We (at least) met them
few turns ago, and we would like to begin on the way than you.

To finish, As you could see, I don't have enough time to manage quickly
enough the foreign minister of the BAT. So a new foreign minister, Mansurji,
will have this post.

Right so we need to find out exactly where they are in the race for alphabet, for instance they dont even have writing, it may be worth us continuing on this path and just seeing what we can trade with them in the end.
