Can you unlock vanilla Achievements in Gods and Kings?

Sorry for it being poor forum etiquette for posting the same question twice, but the QQA section was not quick enough.

My question is can you still unlock the achievements from vanilla whilst playing the GaK or do you have to play the game without the expansion to be eligible for the original achievements?

Yes, I haven't yet came across an old one you can't unlock. Consider G+K to be DLC, the same as all the others for this purpose.
 
Because I unlocked ALL of Vanilla achievments + Scenario ones, I don't have a support, but I would assume so, seeing as it is only an Expansion Pack, and as some say a DLC, and not a stand alone game.
 
I guess there are some like the convert barbarian ships achievment, that require to unselect GnK because the mechanic changed.
 
What about the achievement for Japan?
Kamikaze: kill a unit with a Samurai with only 1 hp
Would I have to bring it down to less than 10 hp, or only have 1 hp? That would be extremely hard to get exact.
