Simple One: Can anyone guide my to an absolute beginners guide to Python?

Hi. Basically as it says in the title: "Can anyone direct me to an absolute beginners guide to Python?" as the nearest i have come is with a tutorial speaking as if i know C++. I have very little programming language, having dabbled in Liberty BASIC a smidgeon, and done a bit of HTML and Javascript (although i dont know if they are classed as languages?)

The python site actually has some useful information regarding this. I've never tried the things they mention, as I come from a programming background, but they do have an entire section devoted to "non-programmers."
