FINAL MATCH!!!!

DARIUS VS. PINKYGEN

:ripper: :rocket: :rocket2: :tank: :soldier: :die:

Argentina: Darius
Chile: AI
England: Pinkygen

Argentina moves first.
Good luck guys!

Some modifications:

1) Indestructible Fortifications in the continental cities + english base
Prevents English invasion to Argentina; Argentine invasion to english base city

2) A-4 Skyhakws instead of Canberras
This is more realistic. Argentina didn´t use Canberras to attack british vessels.

3) Sea Dart instead of Seawolf
ADVANTAGES
- More realistic
- The movement of these units is 2
- It reflects the defensive role of these missiles in the war. Most of the english missiles were purely defensive; AA

DISADVANTAGES
- They are inside submarines/carriers (CIV2 characteristic). In the war, the frigates/destroyers had them

4) Exocets mobility reduced to 5
ADVANTAGES
- More realistic
- The missiles don´t have a long range

DISADVANTAGES
- They are inside subs/carriers (CIV2 characteristic). In real life, argentine aircrafts used them.

5) More british TrackedRapier AA
- Enhanced english air defence

Darius:
I´ve sent you the new files :)

Pinkygen:
I need your e-mail

ooh, with a range of two, this really hurts the English. But I guess you learned from my missiles hunting enemy ships, then returning to base.

Glad to see the face off is finally occurring. Are Darius and PinkyGen going to try and beat my and PG's record ofr turns played in a night? Did you ever move the planes to the upper right hand corner academia? Just wondering.

The peanut gallery, me. Would like screen shots when appropriate and by the way Im routing for Pinky Gen!
:p :p :p
:p Darius:p
:p :p :p

Unfortunately I doubt I'll be keeping that rate up, I have work now. It'd be nice if Darius would start soon. :D

:( :( :( What will I do without Steve's blessing? :p

Sorry for the delay, it's just hard to do this same old first turn again.

- Fitz Roy Base, Darwin, and Port Stanley captured. Our casualties were a lot higher than if we had waited to take the latter two, but you know me.

Are Darius and PinkyGen going to try and beat my and PG's record ofr turns played in a night?

You mean you beat mine and academia's record? I don't think so!

:vomit:conmcb25:rocket:

:)

How the hell did you capture both Darwin and Fitz Roy Base in the same turn? You probably used your destroyer to kill the infantry in FRB, and then put an arg infantry in, and then sent the transport and took Darwin right? I should've thought of that in my game with mordheim.

Yes, the destroyer emptied FRB, the transport landed a garrison into it, and then it headed to Darwin. It still took two amphibious commands to beat the infantry in Darwin, but I guess that's normal.

I captured Port Stanley after emptying it with my missiles, since they're useless against the destroyer there.

Oh yes! England has 6 harriers and some Seadarts there. I think it´s enough to defend themselves against an argentine suicidal attack. let´s see...

WAR!!!!

Argentina has launched an unprovoked attack against the United Kingdom, and has invaded the Falklands.

At the front:
Because of our peaceful nature, few troops were stationed in the Falklands. The local units have been ordered to destroy anything of use in the city, and then dig in and fight tenaciously.
Meanwhile, our sole naval unit, the destroyer BattleAxe, has intercepted part of the Argentinian naval fleet off Port Stanley. It would have been far better for the Argentinians to have used their exocets on her instead of taking the city early. Anyway, the famed Argentinian submarine Santa Fe has already been sunk, then commenced shore bombardment on the coast, destroying an AA gun. British Infantry also attacked the now exposed base, destroying a battery of exocet missiles.

At Home:
Britain begins to amass her sizeble fleet. It shall soon depart to the Falklands, when time is right, and at her choosing. The Argentinian navy will be crushed, and the fleet will be invulnerable to attacks from the occupied Falklands. Then we shall starve them out, and strike where we may.

God Save the Queen

It would have been far better for the Argentinians to have used their exocets on her instead of taking the city early.

You're too used to the old version; apparently now even three or four exocets can't sink a destroyer, let alone two.

Did he increase the defense on ships even more? I remember it being very potent the last round, it was very hard to attack ships with exocets when they were properly escorted by the destroyers, or even frigates. Anyway, I would have used a missile to damage the destroyer, decrease it's movement and ability to attack the invading fleet. Then use the Santa Fe to finish the crippled vessel during the next turn.

Yeah, but what are ya gonna do?

- Port Leith and San Carlos captured.

Port Howard and Fox bay captured.

Note to self, rush building diplomat won't work if he has two planes on the airbase. Doh
