The Slider

that's up to the senate

Blast - you beat me to it!

Citizens - let's help the Senate out on this. Where should the slider be? If you'll look here, your helpful MIA has produced a summary table of our cities, listing in part the number of citizens we have in each state (happy, entertainer, etc).

As currently configured, all cites are content. However, the following cities will almost certainly drop into chaos during the next turn chat: Vo Mibre, Vandelay, Groton, DR, New Falcon's Haven, Cijam.

These are some of our most productive cities. Combined, they are producing 19 shields (35% of total) and 83 commerce (53%). Let's be proactive, and prepare for this.

Also, now that we have the potential, let's kick the research up some! We've got a lot of commerce - let's use a fair amount to fund our scientists and become the technology leader!

Perhaps you ought to be removed from this place, inferior being. You have no place to be near my presence if you wish to insult me so. Perhaps your pathetic and uncreattive insults will be found in someone more likely to be amused. Do not stick your neck out to far... or it will get blown off. Understand?

Sarevok, do not feed the trolls - just smile, laugh silently, and continue on.

Back to the topic at hand ...

What is the impact of putting 10% to entertainment? We currently have 12 specialists (6 entertainers, 5 taxmen and 1 scientist), and a total income of 222. Would this setting have a significant impact?

I put the entertainers back to work to do the 10% lux figures. The 0% figure uses 1 scientist

Yes. We need 10% luxury. Since we then can work more tiles and produce more commerce, it would cost us only 5gpt if we mm our cities properly. And we get a great growth and production boost. The growth will reduce the cost even further over the next turns.

PS: I would not increase research on feudalism to more than 1 scientist.

Being harsh is fun... and my specialty ;)

10% lux; 1 scientist (for instance in highly corrupt city) is good enough. Do not forget that firing entertainers and taxmen will put more people to work. It might not get us the immediate revenue, but more laborers = more food = more citizens = more commerce.

The long term effects are always better in choosing sliders over entertainers.
