Starting locations

Is there any way to influence starting locations? I have found a map that I like (just a random seed) and there is a position i start on a lot that I really like, but everytime I have 2 opponents(what I want) they both are REALLY close and since im playin sid level, it just doesnt seam possible to expand much before they have surrounded me. And when ever I play last world again, it occasionally places me in a different spot, but not my opponents, my question is whether or not there is a way to somehow influence where it places you or your opponents, without dealing with the editor.

You could change the number of players, make it a lower number. Other than that, i can't think of anything that doesn't involve the editor.

If I follow what you are looking for, you can note the seed number. Gen the map with the editor and place the start locations where you want. At least I think you can.
