Civ V Mac Multiplayer

get the feeling this is somewhat pointless but...

I play mainly on PC but on my macbook when travelling so feel free to add me. I'm a serious player, no quitting and very experienced at hosting etc. Cheers. GW

Gentlemen.. I'm a PC player trying to play with my bother who's on a Mac and we're getting the dreaded version mismatch. We're coming back to V from VI but we've been playing V since it launched so we lived through multiple mismatches. But I thought V was so old it would be done with all that. Is anyone else seeing this? Is there a fix? All mods are off.
