anyone wanna see a NUCLEAR NUCLEAR war?

the file is not attached, but i will tell you what the war is about...

skill = king. the year is about 2060... theres the americans, spanish, and hammurabi. i played this game as the americans and you probably wouldn't like how i maintain a civilization. anyway, the americans have recently (4 years ago) went to war with the spanish. everyone has nuclear weapons... including the spanish.

when i started, the americans had 25,000,000 people, and after the war, i had 9,000,000. i didn't get my *** kicked... it was by global warming. i lost 16,000,000 people due to global warming. now, i have always loved nukes... but are they really worth launching?

if you want, i can include the saved game... to me, this was the (most fun) nuclear war i had had.

Global warming sucks. Everything turns to tropical swamp and that means even your farmland gets swallowed up. The icecaps melt and I think you even lose some of the coastline. The only way to avoid this is have about 50 engineers to clean up all the pollution at all times if you are going nuclear...press "k" and they do it automatically...

Who does what? the engineers automatically clean up the pollution because you automate them?

I dislike pollution so i always have an engineer for each city to clean up the mess they make. I have never used nukes and always have the SDI defence.

Becuase of Nukes i had to kill of an AI player in one turn ot he would retaliate with nukes, so i spent a few turns building up an army and attacked with well over 200 cruise missle and then paratrooped in. Now that was a fun turn.

I don't like nukes (on a missile of course).
I had a game (my first on deity level) where a ultra advanced civ (the celts) occupied a large island with almost 30 cities.
I just had to use o lot of spies and MechInfantry to capture their entire civilization in few turns, but that doesn't mather. I knew about pollution from civI so i already had a battalion of engineers to clean that mess.

One god way to avoid global warming is to have some solar plants. It really help.

I think global warming suks also so I very careful with nukes. Wish I could tell this stupid AI to be also!

Though I must admit that I've had a nuclear war once and the situation was worse than yours Fry002. I was on Emperor mode and had about thirty cities Scatered arround the world. By the time I declared war to everybody I dropped about 15 (!) nukes in the bigest cities and then Spanish, Vikings and Mongols droped 6 or seven on my cities.
Result: too global warmings.
Impossible to continue I was disgusted...

the problem with haveing so many nukes.. is it takes SOOO long to use them..

the sound is abuot 15 seconds.. so you have to wait 15 seconds everytime you drop one..

now the .wav might be great.. how it crecendo's to the wonder nuclear blast..

hitting moscow with 24 nukes.. does take a long time to do!

well you ALWAYS hit your target muiltple times..

well... at least before ICBM's.. you woudl send several bombers to each target.. because you don't know if they made it though or not..

Most of the terrain squares change (mostly to desert & swamp). It really sucks!

Who needs to avoid a nuclear war ? (nb: not a nuclear exchange, just a war) Sure, you get that whole global warming stuff, but as Dubbya says there is an upside to that.
