Crash after latest patch (10/27) when using great artist

On a Mac 10.9.5, with latest Civ 5 (plus BNW+GK)

Whenever I try to use the Great artist (next to my Capital), the game crashes.

I never had any crashes before, and this is the second game I play with the new patch, but I haven't played the previous game very far.

Anyone else has any crashes since the new patch?

I continued that game without using this artist and got another one. It crashes too. It seems whenever I try to use any great artist/writer/etc to create a great work the game crashes.

Bummer, that will not go when I want to win with a cultural victory.

I run the Steam check on the Civ5 files and it said it found one corrupted element and redownloaded it.

Now it seems to work.

Well, that did not last long. Again crashes when using any great artist/musician/etc. Happens when the overlay appears.

I don't get a crash loading your save file on a PC. Try verifying your game cache until no more files are downloaded.

I am getting the same problem, running OS X 10.10 Civ V (All DLC).
I verified the game cache in steam, reinstalled game, and tried multiple new games.

I don't crash when using your GA to create a great work. Does gullevek's save game crash for you?

Yep it crashes with a similar log. I have a feeling this is a Mac OS X only bug.

I tried both saves on my girlfriend's Mac and neither crashed. She and I are running the same version of Civ5 1.0.3.276 (123988).

I verified the game cache again and it was fine as well.

I agree that this probably is a Mac problem. I'll move the thread to our Mac subforum.

I tried both options to "use" your artist on my Mac, and no crash.

I'm on a 2012 iMac, on OS X 10.10.1.
