Apologies if this is in the wrong forum, but I have some basic questions about Worldbuilder settings and a few snags I've run into.
I've been trying to set up a custom map that fixes the player start point.
I used the scenario editor functions to lock the Player One start, and left the other civs (which included a number of new civs from other mods) and CS to be random.
When I load the scenario, it started the player civ in the correct spot. So far so good, but after a few turns I noticed other odd effects.
1. On turn zero, I had a settler/warrior per normal. All the other AI civs and CS, however, immediately had cities founded.
2. By turn 2, I got 2 pantheon notices. Even Boudicca cannot found a pantheon before turn 5, so I cannot figure out what happened there.
3. I met a Militaristic CS, and it had unlocked the mystery of the "Horseman" unit, not a non-player UU.
Are there scenario settings that I missed that would cause this?
What exactly does the "Handicap" setting control? To run a game on King difficulty, for instance, do all the civs/CS have to be set at King, or do you merely set the player's handicap?
TIA
