CIV3 Complete & CIV3 Gold

ok so i posted this ame question in the multiplayer section but it doesnt seem like im getting a response there so i figured in the technical support area i would get some more feedback...i am connecting 2 different machines on the lan with civ 3...one has civ3 gold..the other has civ3 complete....the issue is we cant play through multiplayer....are there any known compatibility issues with these two different versions?...what would i have to do to allow both of these to work together?...is there a patch?...ive looked around online and cant seem to find anything in regards to this issue i am running across...any help would be greatly appreciated

I don't really know for sure, but I would think if you played PTW with the Complete PC, and Gold with the other, it should work.

Complete = Civ3 + PTW + Conquests; Gold = Civ3 + PTW. PTW & Conquests do not play together.
