I wish to praise the DUNE mod and the people who worked on it
A great themed CIV game, with great new concepts, and a 100x more appealing and addictive than the original CIV IV

Thanks! It was a lot of fun to work on, I'm really glad that people are still enjoying it, years later.
 
I seems to look at the forums regularly. And that is a testament on how good this mod is.

One of my all time favorite mods. Its the reason why Civ4 is still on my computer, and will remain.
 
Here are my thanks for this awesome mod. Just found about this and played it for the first time this year. Had tons of fun and will put many many hours more to this. Would play again right now but goddamn it's too addictive :D. This is what I would take to desert island.

Is this game all finished? I've come across a handful of 'alien planet' mods, but many seem incomplete and/or quite unpolished. How does this mod compare to, say, Planetfall in terms of polish/completion rate?

The version of the game Dune Wars:Revival v1.10 is a complete game and completely polished in my opinion. Much more so than Planetfall I would say - although that is a good mod. You can get it at either of these links:

Hi @keldath! I decided it was time for less serious avatar! I still keep an eye on Dune Wars and how it's doing. It's definitely the best and most complete total conversion I'll ever be involved in I think.
