Playing the save game before the win turn?

Alright Buds,

Was really enjoying my last game (large inland see map), I was going for my first culture win but then took the easy diplo win (which was also my first, so I didn't feel like too much of a cop-out).

What I'm wondering is, is it possible to go back to the save-game (the turn before my diplo win) and then keep on playing and go for the CV? Does the win still count and go into the Hall Of Fame?

Yes it does. I have both diplo and SV from the same game in my HoF. I think I got both Steam achievements (both were my first time for those VCs) as well.
