[E3 2013] 2K Games forfeit !!!

A lot of companies have been doing this lately. And it makes sense, more information gets spread by allowing people from Gamespot or IGN preview a game and write an article than to waste money to buy a booth, and show it off to people that attend. The same information essentially gets out, one option just costs less. And there's also the fact that it isn't like BNW or any of 2Ks titles will compete with the media that the new Playstation or Xbox is going to get. G4 going to be talking 24/7 about the new consoles, even if they did have BNW on the floor, it'd get almost no media coverage. They'd have more publicity if they do a major reveal a little before or after E3 so that way it doesn't get mixed up with all of the hype from the E3 announcements.

Like Nintendo, 2K looks like it's following its own path for marketing of upcoming games. Any news they drop at E3 would be crowded out by next-gen stuff, anyways.

There's no cause for concern for BNW. I'm sure the marketing strategy has been constructed with this in mind.

They changed the format of e3 a few years ago, it's not very consumer friendly these days. In fact, check out this tidbit from their wikipedia page:

Unlike Gamescom, Penny Arcade Expo (a.k.a. PAX) and other video game trade fairs that are open to the public, E3 is an exclusive, industry-only event.[1] Persons who apply to attend are required by the event's governing body (Entertainment Software Association) to verify that they have some professional connection to the electronic entertainment industry.

With that logic, the consumer should be allowed in. After all, our money is what keeps them employed in the industry. :crazyeye::lol:

Seriously though, E3 is not what it used to be anymore.
