Hi, what pantheon is the best for this map? I believe I should pick religious settlements for 15% faster border growth:

Spoiler :

Religious Settlements, yay!

:crazyeye::crazyeye::crazyeye::crazyeye::crazyeye:

I woould have gone for the gold and silver pantheon one...(forgot the name of it though)

With Sejong tall is always good. But Religious Idols (+1 dove +1 scroll with gold) is better imo, the extra culture also helps with borders, as does Tradition.

Yup, I took Religious Idols actually, religious settlements was just a tease.

I was the 5th civ to found a pantheon, but I also got Mt. Sinai (+8 faith natural wonder) and an isolated island, so I saved all my ruins to try and get a faith ruin, and placed my first city where it can work the natural wonder for super fast faith so I should be the first to found a religion.

My initial idea for sejong was to take messenger of the gods, interfaith dialogue and guruship (+2 :c5science: per trade route, :c5science: for spreading my religion to cities with other religions, and +2 :c5production: while working a specialist), but I got a capital with 5 golds in its range so I wont be sticking to that.

Interfaith dialogue is meh. I tried it with Sejong and it's bad if you founded your religion early. You won't get many cities with other religions as they're all your religion already. In that case you could get cathedrals simply for the artist slot, that works better with guruship and religious idols.

Thats good to know, I was just wanting to try out all the different belief combos.

So I'll just add Cathedrals + Guruship for Sejong, the opener pantheon belief should simply be whatevers best for the map.

And bam, I should have first dibs on religious picks now with Mt. Sinai and:

You have to have already founded a pantheon to get a faith ruin.

Stone circles or religious idols. I'd lean towards stone circles here, but either works.

No, I just got one without.
Ditto. I actually had 0 Faith and popped one to get the first Pantheon :D

Stone Circles or One With Nature also would've been good, but Religious Idols is probably the best.

I would def. pick the silver/gold belief for that map.

Wouldn't have founded Susan where you did though. I would've just rushed and conquered Milan to grab that mountain. Very open terrain + you have horses + doesn't look like any civs nearby to get mad = easy grab.

No, I just got one without.

That explains how in a game I just played, 5 civs founded pantheons in the first 15 turns. No Celts/Maya/Ethiopia either.

Good thing I was the Huns and didn't care because I got a Battering ram ruin on turn 17 :D.

Idol worship, hands down.

Runner up: monuments to gods, or whatever the quarry booster is called.

If you would take quarry booster rush a settler south and be on your way to early religion.

Thought that maybe using this thread would be appropriate to my question...

Trying Spain for the first time, had pretty bad luck with natural wonders so had rerolled a couple and finally ended up with the Uluru pretty close by:-

So now I'm about to get a pantheon but am a bit torn which one to get. I could:-

a) take One with Nature to fully leverage Uluru's faith (is the +4 faith here doubled with Spain's ability?)
b) take Religious Idols which could outperform One with Nature if I manage to grab the group of 3 silver up north (one possible danger of this is Netherlands is right close by)
c) take Stone Circles. Again the a grouping to the north
d) attempt to Desert Folklore + Petra city to the northeast of Barcelona.

What do you guys think?

Hi, what pantheon is the best for this map?

I would say stone circles but you already found a great faith generator. Get some extra culture instead(and a bit more faith) in the name of Religious Idols.
