Best mods for CiV

I'm getting a little bored with all the expansions and am looking to getting some mods that fix some of the games bigger issues, or a create entirely new games to play, like a total conversion mod.

What are some of the most highly recommended mods on steam workshop right now?

In particular, are there any good "light" balance mods that someone can recommend? Something that tinkers round the edges with the balance a bit but still keeps the original feel? Kind of like the old Thalassicus balance mod from ages ago for vanilla (the current communitas mod changes too much for my taste)

Uhm, I am going to release my few little balance mods buffing weak beliefs/traits/UUs/UBs/Wonders
