Patch 1.01f - Undocumented Changes

It appears the amphibious attack penalty has been increased from 20% to 50%. At least when I attacked a European colony from the sea it was 50%. Previously the penalty was 20% when the REF attacked me but I haven't myself used an amphibious attack before (I never needed to before but now the AI is too strong to attack from land).

Are there other undocumented changes?
 
Confirmed. In GlobalDefines.xml it's been raised to a wompin' 50%! That's higher than the 40% I raised it to in AoD2. I like this change. :)

As for other undocumented changes, I've been through the whole AoD2 changelog and that's the only one I found.

I agree, 50% may be causing me a few problems now but it will be really useful when the REF come calling.
 
The Silver price sensitivity seems to be greatly reduced. Previously, by the time I ship one to two Galleons' worth of Silver, the price drops to 1/2 at which point I use the cheap buy-back-galleons'-worth exploit. This last game, I shipped quite a lot of Silver to Europe but the price had only dropped to 13 by the time I won WoI in 1794.
 
If I get the time, I'll be creating a program that can see the differences between two nearly identical files. I'm going to need it in order to make sure all the relevant changes made in the patch also make it into my mod.
With this, and my backup copy of every xml file, I will be able to tell you what has changed in those files. I'd also be able to tell you what has changed in the python files, but I can't read python.
 
Oh and oddly, I didn't seem to have a River Crossing penalty when attacking with my Dragoons, though they had no Amphibious promotion.

Use WinMerge. It's the best program out there for this.

I upgraded AoD2 to the patch in two hours using it. What would've cost me a week manually. ;)
