Heroes

The golden age is from the buildings they can make.

Examples ...

- BUILDINGCLASS_AGRICULTURAL_ACHIEVEMENT
- BUILDINGCLASS_INDUSTRIAL_ACHIEVEMENT
- BUILDINGCLASS_COMMERCIAL_ACHIEVEMENT
- BUILDINGCLASS_SCIENTIFIC_ACHIEVEMENT
- BUILDINGCLASS_POLITICAL_ACHIEVEMENT
- BUILDINGCLASS_CULTURAL_ACHIEVEMENT
- BUILDINGCLASS_MILITARY_ACHIEVEMENT
- BUILDINGCLASS_SEAFARING_ACHIEVEMENT

OK thx, just going thru some HARD RL times right now.

5% each perhaps, so it's not OP to have them all? Would be +40% if you have all 8 then. Add that to Cheomsengade and Taj Mahal and that last tower that gives a 50% bonus and you'll still be able to have very long golden ages if you manage to get them all.

Cheers

Tai Mahal gives a golden age but does not extend them.
Golden age extenders are Cheomsongdae (+20%), Mausoleum of Mausolos (+50 %), Giant Buddha (+50%).
Given the fact that heroes were intentionally only two per civ and you had to choose two out of eight achievements.
Culture in C2C allows you to get all eight achievements, i think they already provide enough benefits.

I just wasted a hero try to extend my Golden age past 16 turns . I was already at 16 and it bumped it 1 turn. I don't have any of the Wonders that extend the GA. :p

JosEPh :)

Can't the generic national/military heroes ('National Hero' and 'Military Hero' in civilopedia) be built at all? I was the first to reach Writing, and I can't make either of them. The only culture I've access to is viking, so making a culture-specific hero is no option.

1) Why would I choose a Military Instructor over a Great Military Instructor?

2) Perhaps you should specialise which heroes can join a city as which great people. For example Tutmoses I was a great law giver and military person so he should only give Artist(?) and G Military Inst where as Tutmoses III was an explorer (G Merchant) as well as a warrior. Rameses III was a builder (G Engineer).

@StrategyOnly As I was preparing to move the art from your heroes so it can be put in the FPK I noticed that we have two of Attila and two of Leonitus. Is this intended?

BTW I assume it is OK to move the art so it can go in the FPK.

Yeah its intended, i am still experimenting with those two(Attila that is not Leonidas), is why i have them that way, sorry for the confusion:crazyeye:

Going to need some help on recommendations for Leader Points to give to each Hero, ie: right not the 1st Warlord you can get, gets 5 points, 2nd one gets 10, 3rd gets 15, etc.

Now these are the regular one that can be attached to units, not the one you build. The ones you build gets 0.

Ideas/Suggestions etc, thx????

Attaching those (gives xp to units + withdrawal chance) units should not be allowed to go onto hero units.

That +50% golden age wonder with calender sure made my hero unit achievements imba as hell :yumyum:

I got a 100 turn perpetual golden age was quite nice.

If I understand it right, you don't get Golden Ages from Heroes anymore? I have not had any hero give a GA since SVN version 1384. In fact I've kept Hiawatha alive into 2014AD because I get no GA from him.

That is absolutely correct, plus i took the "disadvantage" away from the Barbarian Civ to build them also, plus i am narrowing down the specialist list for each Hero also.

Forgot the name but the units that give xp to a stack, like the lord unit. If hero is in the stack, they get an easy promotion. I think this is kinda imba.

Also I just discovered that great farmer guy this play through and I have some concerns. Does the AI use this guy? Also I think he should cost like 100 gold a turn or something coz I can seriously just make wheat again and again everywhere.

But in all actuality isn't that really what happened back in the day, thats what they call "Farmers" nowadays, and they can plant anything they want, and any where they want, for the most part that is.

In the part of the country where i am from the farmers here have their OWN, Buffalo, Llama's, sheep, cows, horses, etc, not to mention all the products they produce also, ie: Wheat, Corn, Rye, Beans, Sweet Corn, Beets, Cucumbers, Melons, Apples etc.

And thats on every other farm place here.:) Almost 75% of the state is "farmers" with crops. Alot of them get together and form a "Farmers Market" for the people in the town residents have some place to buy what they want from local farmers, making that really an enterprise.

Does the AI use this guy?

Yes, but probably not very effectively.

In my games I have found the balance to be the time he takes to plant anything coupled with the fact that only one can be active at once. I haven't really been able to significantly influence matters uising them (just marginal gains for the most part). Generally I use them stratgeically, to plant bonuses I only have through trading. However, when you add corporations into the mix it gets more potentially powerful, since corporations can give output for each addiional resource planted in every city they are present in.

It's more the issue that you can only do that with the farm items, so the cereal mills/std ethanaol gets really strong while the other corporations are still sort of meh in comparison.
