Suggestions for Number of Civs & City-States on a Huge Continents Map?

On a huge, continents map, what do you think is the ideal number of civs and city-states. I believe the default set-up has 12 civs and 24 city-states. What do you think?

I like max (without mod) major civs, which is 22 (you and 21 others).

City States depends. You may want to up it if Venice and Austria are around. Or aggressive civs like Huns and Mongolia.

I recently played a 22 major civs + 32 city states game on a Huge Pangaea map and it was fun!
