Hulfgar's Modpack Extended Edition "Rise of the Machines"

Can't help you with the first one but second one I've had similar problems before and discovered my graphics card is to powerful for the game, so I lowered all settings down to medium except texture which I kept high and the problem has never returned, now this my not be applicable in your situation but can't hurt to give it a try and of course make sure to disable "GPU Texture Decode"

GPU Texture Decode has been disabled since day 1, but I'll try the other option of turning down the settings. If it helps, I'm all for it. Thanks for the suggestion.
 
Sadly, lowering the graphics rate too low only causes Civ V to crash with Font error messages. I can only hope there is a sweet spot somewhere in between that fixes this.
 
Hello Martock, I remember having a similar problem and I disabled the leaderheads animations (those were buggy as well). Maybe you could try this, and perhaps an update of your graphic cards drivers.
 
Nevermind, I just figured out that Enhanced interface only shows that AI has points in civics when they have at least level 1 in that civic. If it's just unlocked (and allows wonder), the interface does not show that they have the civic.

Thanks a lot for the amazing mod. I finally have a computer powerful enough to play it :). Sadly load times are still terrible, but the gameplay is smooth.
 
Fixed the graphical issues but now I've been hit by a bug that is granting me a great diplomat every turn (and has been doing so for 5 turns straight). I've got a saved game file for you but I don't know how to get it to you as it's too big for me to upload here.

About the loading times (wich are a pain it's true!) you could try the Multiplayer Modpack version of the mod. If I remember right this version has normal loading times.

Thanks for an awesome mod - that was exactly what I looked for! I'm currently stuck at resource bug after raising few cities (discovered the reason for it too late), which decreases lumber supply by 4 each turn incrementally. It was very frustrating to get stuck like that in marathon game with a dozen of hours spent, just can't force myself to start over (the loading times, arrrggh). Please let me know if my savefile could help with solving the problem.
Also you mentioned just above that multiplayer version doesn't have the loading times, but if I'm not mistaken, it's not the same version as the CE version? That would mean some features missing and/or bugs not fixed?

try to validate your core game files, sometime they become corrupted for some reason.

can you post me a savegame?

I don't see any error in the log file, except that it says that you are loading the Industrial Edition of the mod

if you're trying to load a game from the Extended Edition that would explain the crash.
 
Hi, I will validate the game files. I'm using the installer version of your extended edition, V7. I checked the mod-folder and there is no old industrial edition files anymore. I attached the last save. Thank you for your advice, because I really cannot play CIV5 without your mods. :)

Ok attached is a save game file where I'm encountering that problem with multiple turns of the AI and myself getting free Great Diplomats. Well I hope it's this save game file. Let me know if you need me to upload anything else.

Hi Kepuli, I've tried your savegame and the game crashes when I try to use it. Do you have a working save? I'd like to see how far I can play before a bad save occurs (if any).
The log files don't give me any tip, as a matter of fact my lua log is even shorter than yours so I think that the crash happens sooner for me than for you.
 
Hi Hulfgar. I'm back. I've changed my pc, installed civ5 downloaded all the mods, but its still taking ages to load the game with this mod. I don't know if its only my problem but i can literally take shower until it loads the game. It's ridiculus and i have pretty decent setup with ssd hard drive. This mod is the only reason i'vs installed civ 5 again. Pls help.

I have a very decent config as well and I have the same problem with loading times (as every other player of the mod).

I don't find where the problem lies, I don't know if I've hit a limit in the mod's size or if it's a problem with a file. This doesn't means that I've stopped looking for a solution, just that I don't find it.

The only workaround for now is to use the multiplayer modpack version of the mod, from memory this "dlc" version loads at a "normal" speed.
