After a slow start, the players gathered in central redtree to assist 'Harry' in his search for clues; looking this time for the hellhounds mentioned during the meeting. However, whilst he set up a ritual of some kind, the several members of the team attempted a raid on a building belonging to 'Piper Accounting', which some of them recognised. The search for clues was detracted however, as they uncovered three of the demonic 'hellhounds' within the building. After a brutal fight, they managed to clear out the demons, and Valerie recovered a notebook from the desk of 'George Helfer, the young man who had dissappeared from the meeting. The team then agreed to help 'Harry' if he encountered further such clues, and went their seperate ways.

For this management section you have only two action slots. This is because of the relatively short in-universe time before the next mission, so those of you with school, jobs or the like need not spend action slots on them. The mission is of course next Friday, so please post your actions and SP spending with time for me to get them sorted before then.

1 SP into Circles
1 SP into Artefacts
1 SP into Combat (Stamps)

Action 1: Acquire ink and one or more rubber stamps; paint a circle that nullifies petrification circles on the stamp, then carve a relief of a petrification circle into the stamp, so that it would be possible to dip the stamp in the ink without the stamp or ink being petrified, then stamp an object or enemy, thus inscribing an ink petrification circle upon them. If possible, repeat this process to create a spirit summoning/golem creating stamp and an injury healing stamp.
Action 2: Use my increased skill with Artefacts to once more attempt to forge a 2pi m strip of metal that can be split into 4 pieces, which can be combined as necessary and ordered to wrap themselves around opponents; if the previous order takes more than one action, disregard action 2.

Apologies for missing friday, I have been at a RL competition since last thursday.

Name: Charles Darzi
Gender: Male
Age: 18
Appearance: Olive skin, with short, black hair and amber eyes. Clean shaven. Stands at 6', with an average weight for his size, despite being somewhat spindly. Tends to wear button up shirts and jeans.
Bio: Charles Darzi is the fourth and youngest child of Nimtullah and Rafqa Darzi, Maronites who fled to America towards the end of the Lebanese Civil War. An excitable and inquisitive child, Charles had a natural curiosity about the world. He devoured books and life in equal measure, poking and prodding at anything that piqued his interest. In middle school, he discovered a love for chemistry, and pursued it with a feverish passion that sought to tax his siblings patience.

After graduating high school with honors, Charles gained admittance to some university in Redtree. Excited with a whole new city to explore, Charles would take frequent walks throughout Redtree, taking in the sights and browsing the shops. On one such night, while strolling through a park downtown, Charles witnessed a curious sight; a small group of fairies, flitting across the pond. Initially, he thought nothing of it, attributing it to a combination of over exertion and low light, until a group of strange individuals suddenly converged upon the creature. Before he eyes unfolded a battle of magical proportions, with spells and enchantments being exchanged between the two forces. From his hiding place, Charles watched as the mysterious figures defeated and captured the fae, then melt away into the night.

As soon as he returned to campus, Charles scoured the library for anything related to what he had seen. After weeks of searching, he finally found a couple of books hidden away in a oft forgotten part of the library. One was an compendium of magical beasts and spirits; the other, a beginner's guides to potions. Charles took to these new subjects like a duck to water. Much of his free time soon became devoted to either experimenting with potions and salves, or seeking out magical incidents, photographing them on his smartphone. Believing he was on the verge of a brand new discovery, he contacted the head of his university's zoology department, setting up a meeting to present his findings.

However, when Charles arrived at the professor's office, he discovered they were not alone. His activities had drawn the attention of the Mages Council, prompting them to send an emissary to the university. She explained the situation to Charles, in particular, the reasons why his discovery had to remain a secret. In addition, she passed along an offer from the Council; Charles could continue his research with support, on the caveat that he become registered with the Council and never speak of his work to anyone who was not affiliated of the Council. Charles agreed on the spot.

[Orders=Research]

1: The diary of Mr. Helfer's last few months is hardly interesting, he is prone to rambling bouts of self-pity has he laments his un-requited crush on a girl he refers to as 'Jen', and the anecdotes he records make clear he is something of a loner. It is clear from what he writes that his work is illegal in some way, frequency using terms like 'the gang' and 'the cartel'. He writes of his introduction of hellhounds into his workplace for night security, passing them off as trained guard dogs, and then soon after of how he struggled to cover it up when the he lost control of the fourth a couple of weeks ago. Entries since then have been sporadic and contain little detail. However, the front of the book contains an address (321 Silverwood Street, flat 7) in the 'if found, please return to' format.
2: Once again you call upon your families contacts, and once again they deliver. Scarlett is listed on council records as the 'Keeper of the Tree (fo)', which Vera helpfully informs you means 'function obsolete', along with her contact details. Apparently she acts as a sort of unofficial local official, keeping tabs on the goings-on for the council.

[Orders=Modified]

1 (1A): You go shopping to obtain a number of stamps, and carefully produce a petrification circle upon one.
2(1B): You carefully produce a Djufuus-summoning circle upon one of your new stamps.

Hopefully there will be no interruptions to the mission on Friday, since I don't have anything planned.

The team were called together as evening shadows on Tuesday lengthened to the news that Harry and the St. Pierres had a lead on current suspect George Helfer's location. However, breaking into the apartment the team found it to have been recently abandoned. They were interrupted in their search by a short communication from an unidentified man asking them to cease 'interfering', followed moments later by another figure attacking them. With the assistance of a Pixie he held the team at bay for several long moments, but inflicted by and large only minor injuries before fleeing. Indeed, much of the teams worst suffering was caused by a vast array of friendly fire that seemed drawn to Lily like a magnet.

As the team fought, John St. Pierre set up a ritual within the apartment to let the team re-live the events there, where they saw Helfer dragged out by a rather violent Hispanic man insisting he take a 'vacation' to avoid the 'magic cops' who we after him. Although they left a few indications of their whereabouts, the various NPCs insisted it would take them some time to pin them down.

Since the next mission will be taking place in the same night as the last, there will be no opportunity for management orders before the next mission, which will likely be occurring on Friday as usual.

As the night dragged on, John directed the way to the site of the latest clue, pinpointing with Charles' help a house on Beech Boulevard. As the team was distracted by the arrival of Chris, Maria followed Valerie in busting in through the front door. This nuanced and subtle strategy proved remarkably effective in alerting the entire house, and as the two of them entered they were met by a man with a gun. After a few tense words, Valerie barely got off the first blow, killing him almost instantly.

As the team procceeded to collectively freak out, she continued to search the house, eventually finding and breaking into the room where a terrified George Helfer had barricaded himself in. Despite repeated threats, Helfer claimed to have no knowledge of the attack on the meeting or the fate of the Hass family; although he did admitt to knowledge of the Hellhounds and the Cartel, some big out-of-town crime syndicate. As the team contemplated his fate, they were distracted by a new arrival.

Claiming to be looking for 'the human big-shot' Tinka the Pixie was able to quickly alienate a sizeable chunk of the team with her antics. Claiming that somebody had been abducting the other Pixies for an unknown reason, she requested the aid of the team in helping recover them, stating that it was possible such an unusual situation was related somehow to their investigation.

------

Well, that was a mess. :run: Lets have a nice long four action management session while we try and figure out how to keep the team from collapsing shall we? Hopefully the next mission will be Friday at the normal time, although under the circumstances I have no idea if I will have a plan by then, so we shall see how things turn out. Lets try to be more careful this time, hmm?

+3 into Artifacts

Management Slot One: Crafting! Take one of Valerie's rings and enchant it to open locks with just a touch. Electronic AND physical locks both. Artifacts 5.

Management Slot Two: Crafting! Begin work on a new sword with twice the capabilities of Celeste. Artifacts 5.

Management Slot Three: Crafting! Take some sunglasses and turn them into a detector that can locate in-progress spells, as well as artifacts and passive effects. It's probably not going to be perfect, but it'll be better than nothing. Artifacts 5.

Management Slot Four: Crafting! Forge a knife that is balanced for throwing and returns when called, like Celeste. Artifacts 5.

And Valerie also spends a lot of her time having nightmares about the dead guy and presumably crying with Vera because omg teh horrorz and no one on the team cared about her crying her eyes out in a bathroom so she's stuck with her non-appearing NPC sister :cry:

TL;DR: Build ALL the artifacts!
