Number of Colonization players

Hi everybody,
I am wondering how many players are still playing to Civ IV colonization game.
Last week I saw a player who played in MP with the vanilla version... :eek:

He didn't know any mods but he still playing with this game.
I hope we have still some fanatics of colonization like him in the world.

I precise this is not for a contest, it is just to have some statistics. In fact, more there are good mods more we have players! That's why I prefer that players use mods instead of the vanilla version.

Mods and vanilla count :
Vanilla : 11
Religion and Revolution : 16
Dawn of a New Era : 8
TAC : 14
Medieval Col : 1
Colo 2071 : 1
Medieval Conquest : 2
AoD2 : 1

I only know we have at least two fanatics.

It may be interesting to know which mods we like to play?
For me, I played only "Religion and Revolution" and "Dawn of a New Era".
But, I definitely abandoned the vanilla version

Same here. I will admit that I don't play COL that much anymore, but RAR and Dawn looked interesting.

Oh - didn't notice that thread before...

I'm playing RaR, TAC (and DoNE from time to time - love the ammunition feature). Will definitely also try out Medieval Col again... :goodjob:

And there is still a continuous colonization activity on the German Forum - even new Mod(s) are in development.

I used to play colonization at times and ranked up to conquistador difficulty but now civ 5 came out.

It's too bad, but I can understand CIV IV Colonization is really poor. Hopefully, we have great modders to make best this game

I guess it's easy to see, which mod I prefer, isn't it?

Mostly playing TAC with the wonderful Iso-Mod by melcher kürzer and 'Werewolves' a mod also made by the TAC Team.
Sometimes RaR, but besides some really good enhancements, there are also features that don't appeal to me.

Haven't tried the other mods yet, but I'm certain, after having finished my first playthrough with the unmodded Colonization 2 a few years earlier, I did never play vanilla again.

There is alot Civ4 Colonization players but they are offline singleplayer players, since Multiplayer lobby is dead.

Still play, just D/l'd DoanE v3.0 and RaR 1.7.
