Sid Meier's Civilization IV Info Center

Hiya Civrules. Great updates, its all getting VERY exciting now. Just one piece of info I noticed was missing-this one is courtesy of the GameSHOUT radio show:

Caste System allows unlimited specialisation in your cities.

Hope this helps.

Ok, I've added the missed things.
@Lord Parkin - Yup, that's the full tech tree. Thunderfall put it together after the GameSpot screenshots. :)

I've also increased the size of the religion icons (gotten from the tech tree). Now, I think, they look much nicer and easier to see.

New movie on GameSpot - #15

As I can see from the movie:
Taj Mahal: +10 culture/turn, +2 great artist/turn, starts a golden age.
Grocer: +25% gold, can turn 2 citizen into merchants, +1 health from banana, spices, sugar, wine, cost 75 hammers.
University: +3 culture/turn, +25% science, cost 100 hammers.

Knights: 10 strength, 2 moves, immune to first strikes, doesnt recive defencive bonouses, cost 45 hammers.

My more or less complete list of info from GameSpot movies #11-15 can be found in this tread.

The latest preview is a gold mine of info (regarding the Civs). I'm working on an update right now. Not sure when I'll be able to post it though.

So if these are the 7 religious icons, then what is this thing that is always by the city religion list in the world map and the list of religions near the names of each ruler?

Forgive my horrible mspaint edit skills.

Civs with whom you are currently trading/have deals perhaps?

IMO, the 3 arrows in a triangle shape probably represent the fact that you have a trade route formed with that civ. As I said, though, this is just IMO.

I have one big concern. It might sound silly to most of you but for me this is a biggie. In civ3 when you modded the game via the editor the hall of fame (or shame for me) would stop recording score if you used the new modifications done. This was a big gripe for me! Sometimes you only wanted to mod in some new city names, change one single stat for a unit or just rename a civ. I really really hope this have been changed. :)

Maybe this has to do with the "What you see is what you get". There is of course only a limited amount of room in a city to show all the buildings, national and great wonders. Maybe there is a similar limitation for great wonders.

If this is true, I wonder what it means for modding. Hopefully you can add buildings without a visual representation on the map (I think it will be possible).

Do you think that bridges will be harder to build and easier to destroy? So they will be like a strategic point

And i read in pre release info that in multiplayer you will be able to defend your ally-s town. I hope that will be avalible to single player version like in SMAC

To now everything looks from pictures good, my only concern is diplomacy and AI, do you know something more about that?

Doesn't look like there's a limit in this "screenshot". It looks like there's at least seven.

edit:Never mind, me stupid.

Axeman is available with Bronze Working. Axeman are anti infantry units - bonus vs. melee.
Spearman with hunting, they have a bonus against cavalry.
Swordsman with Iron Working. Dunno if they have a bonus. They upgrade to whatever is available with guilds, I think.

I think axeman upgrade to maceman, which seem to appear with Civil Service.
Spearman probably upgrade to halbardier. Dunno what Swordman upgrade to. They might be upgrades of Warriors - at least they were in Civ 3. Chariots might upgrade to horsemen, in which case spearman will be good at killing them.
