I've always preferred Camels over Keshiks. They've always felt more flexible to me when considering the Civ as a whole. Which while this thread is UU's, still something I think is important to consider. Example: Jag's on any other Civ would lose a big part of what makes them so great; their heal on kill has decent synergy with their UA (constant barb sniping for early culture as opposed to spending your time healing up)

Zero because... Zero. I'm sure every player feels like they end up with just the UA and one unique when rolling Japan. May as well outright ignore its existence.

Let's take the Slinger down a peg. It doesn't synergise with other Incan uniques, being knocked back can cause more harm than good if you have a strong formation (particularly if you upgrade these to Gatling Guns and beyond) and less base strength can make these worse than the generic unit in a range of situations. They make good Scout Archers, but seem pratically a downgrade otherwise.

And up goes the Battering Ram. I love that thing, it's like the Que'cha of Civ 5, but more fun.

Bowmen are such -blah- units. Its almost like not having a UU.
Minutemen are an excellent gunpowder unit. I feel they deserve more love than they get.

In MP, spawning by someone as Arabia is a horrifying prospect.

Zero is utter garbage, and so late in the game it rarely matters.

Ship of the Line: man, I love boats, they are very useful... specially those frigates. Now, here we've got a cheaper, stronger big boat. Also, very fast, because you are England. I love playing England mostly because of this (actually not, England's great on every unique it has, IMO). Who wouldn't want a big good powerful quick frigate? Amazing.

Maori Warrior: 10% reduction for your enemies, and nothing more than that... geez. Compare it to the Jaguar (+33% on jungle, heals 25HP upon killing and I think I'm not remembering something else it does, long time since I'm Montezuma EDIT: it is woodsman! almost a scout!)... I know it has some synergy with the UA, giving +10% to your units that are 2 tiles from a Moai, but it comes so early it is hard to spam without crippling yourself. Then again, I'd rather spam Jaguars :/

Landsknecht: again, unit with no difference in combat, just cheaper to make.

b17: Upgrade from great war bombers for cheap and very hard to kill with their auto evasion promo not to mention the free siege 1. higher strength than normal bomber too. You are going to be massing bombers so this guy gets lots of use and I like them a lot and you can get them very good promos with pretty much no risk of losing them even from a braindead attk into interception / aa guns.

Mehal Sefari: you are rarely going to be getting the capital bonus since if you are defending your capital from invasion at rifling you are not exactly in the best position imo and also just the fact they replace riflemen......dont exactly want to be massing melee units maybe like 1 or 2 at most in most situations to fortify in front of your ranged guys. Just use mounted unit to fly in and cap cities. When I am ethiopia i barely even use these guys.

Cataphract-Probably going to get flamed for this one but it's stronger than a swordsman and has that extra movement. Can fortify to heal so it can actually protect your ranged units and the reduced penalty v. cities combined with the increased str. gives it approximately the same str against cities as a spearman. Underrated unit that's also kind of underused since Byzantium is always so focused on religion in the early game.

Comanche Rider-Kind of boring for a newer UU. If I wanted faster cavalry I'd just play Mongolia.

Siege tower: Deserves more recognition, as it is one of the 4 units that is basically the sole reason the civ is used at all (The other 3 being the Battering Ram, Keshik and Impi) Without the tower, Assyria's UA becomes very inconsequential and the civ is trash.

Mehal Sefari: Just not worth having. Your capital shouldn't be under siege often
