I gotta be honest, I'm glad Pacal is actually scary looking, not boyish looking like in Civ 4.
Pacal is looking amazing.
Just last week I was wondering if this game was dead..ha.

I would also like to see CSs be a bit more complex other than just being bought off with gold (instead of those quests maybe open an embassy with them, build a road, convert to your religion etc to improve relationship - make them more of a small civ).
City-states are also being expanded in numerous ways. "Feedback suggested city-states were dominated by who had the most gold and could offer the most gifts," Beach said. Therefore, completing city-state quests will become the most effective way to gain influence over them. City-states can now offer multiple quests at once, and some, such as "generate the most faith in 20 turns," don't require direct action from the player.
In basic Civilization V you could influence city-states by giving them gifts and completing basic quests, but most people didn't bother with the quest part. Firaxis wanted to change the dynamic, making you feel like more options exist outside of winning through the might of your economy. To this end they've put a greater emphasis on the rewards for completing quests for city-states, as well as given the option to take them via espionage. Like every other part of Gods and Kings, religion has been worked into the formula as well, with the option to convert city-states to your faith.
I would like a new South American civ, given that only one exists down there, but that's unlikely.
I sure hope there are more than the "traditional" civs, though, as that's all we have seen so far.
* Machinegun! Early tank! Biplanes!! I think WW1 was such a revolution in war, nationalism and destruction of many empires of old. Here it gets the best treatment than in any civ.
I don't know why people thought the game was dead when it got patched in December. This should be confirmation that the game is far from dead.
Somehow, I had a filling they will ruin it for me.
Well.. Or maybe Ill just go to retirement from this game.
Religion oh NO.
So now I have to go again true all that nonsense of Buddhist Arabia fighting Islamic Byzantine or trying to convert Taoist Germany. I hate this. Shrink.. I guess I will have to stick with vanilla Civ 5.

And espionage.. Its like cheating to me.
Really bad news for me. Unless.. I only hope they would sell any of new civilizations as a DLC so I can just add them to Vanilla game. What do you think, will that be possible?

Maya, Dutch, Celts, Carthage, Byzantium.... That's five... Other four? Austria, Brazil, Portugal, Ethiopia? All come to mind.
Zulu, I bet. We almost always have Shaka in the mix.
