(G&K) Question: Generic unit elimination thread

Did this happen last fall? There were a lot of elimination threads, but I don`t remember a thread about the ordinary units every civ can build. I have searched, but have not found. If this thread exists, please post a link. If not; would it be an interesting discussion? Or is there a elimination thread fatigue on this forum? (Well, there was a lot of different elimination threads) I thought the unik unit thread was interesting, and would love to follow a similar thread about the units we use and encounter every game
