Thing I learned about the world thru Civ4

355. a single mine can provide the iron for an entire army no matter how large, for an eternity.
356. It is possible for an infinite amount of people to occupy a finite amount of space.
357. There are only 35 laws that have and can ever be imposed in the history of the world.
358. This is an RfC one, the Babylonians, Chinese, Indians, and Egyptians all magically appeared out of nowhere at EXACTLY 3000B.C. and all other civilizations also came out of nowhere in some other time.
359. It takes centuries years to train a group of people to use a club (Warriors) and yet only a few years to train people to use tanks.
360. More productive cities can train military faster.
:lol: :lol::lol: :lol::lol: :lol::lol: :lol:

362. The ancients were incredibly lazy: After seeing a cow in a field and deciding to get it, a man would spend six hundred years getting ready to leave. It would take him forty years to walk to the cow and two hundred years to catch it.

363. Franklin Delano Roosevelt's real name was just Roosevelt.
364. The United States only had one election, back in 4000 BC. Roosevelt won.
365. Every world leader was born in 4000BC and still looks exactly the same.
366. Everyone on the planet will vanish into thin air by the year 2050.
367. You can found a city without knowing how to hunt, fish, grow food, make bricks, or chop wood.
:)

However,
368: In response to 366, if the almighty god of Civ decides he wants you to live a little longer, he does.

369) A civilization that is being destroyed and is on the verge of becoming extinct, will still refuse to give it's enemies a bunch of books (that cost nothing) that explain how a technology works. They will gladly give all their gold and some cities, but not a bunch of books.

370) The Holy Roman Empire/Germany was always unified as one centralized state.

347. Countries are incredibly loathe to give up cities in return for peace. This is also news to France. *cough*alloftheamericas*cough*

They only gave up Quebec, not the Mississippi river or their Caribbean islands.

@jtb- Thomas Jeffersom bought Louisiana and a lot of the Mississippi River area from the French...IIRC it was in 1804.
EDIT-Louisiana Purchase bought in 1801 by Thomas Jefferson...in 1804 two explorers (Lewis and Clark) and their men explored it.

No, in fact it was Spanish for a while before it was returned to France. Then Napoleon sold it.

This whole argument is ridiculous. The Louisiana Purchase couldn't have happened. Nappy could've traded the city of New Orleans to Jefferson, but its culture hadn't even popped past the BFC yet. Trading a swath of land that stretched to Canada? That didn't have any culture on it? Rubbish. They were playing some weird mod.

:sarcasm:

And where did Jeffy get 15 Million gold, anyways?

371) America isn't mired in tons of debt, as evidenced by the fact that her troops are not on strike.

No, in fact it was Spanish for a while before it was returned to France. Then Napoleon sold it.

Nappy only had it for a few days after he got it from Spain. He wanted to use it to feed the slaves in the Caribean. After the slave revolt he didn't want it. Also, by selling it he complicated U.S.-British relations (in true Civ style) to distract Britain. IIRC there was a provision in Nappy's purchase from Spain that he couldn't sell it without Spanish approval but he ignored that. As far as the U.S. was concerned, we bought it in good faith and Spain didn't have the military power to force the U.S. to cancel the sale. It was actually a nice diplo move by Nappy. In the war of 1812 the U.S. was more or less fighting on France's side against Britain. Not that the U.S. was much more than an aggravation to Britain. One professor said Britain fought the War of 1812 with 9 of their 10 fingers behinds their backs.

You get absolutely ridiculous amounts of gold in C2C.

Napoleon had Louisiana for a few weeks after he got it from Spain, not a few days. :p

Also, Napoleon sold Louisiana largely because of the Haitian revolt, so he didn't have a separate naval base to support Nouvelle Orléans.

372) In order for the Libyan Rebels to conquer Libya, they must capture every last city in Libya, and if they pressed a special button, destroy every last unit as well
373) If Rome was "razed" by Barbarians, how did people still live there?

374. Public Transit systems consist only of two trains running on parallel tracks. Underground subways and bus systems do not exist.

375) An airport can only allow one flight to leave every year. (or month depending on the speed you play on)
