Can some of the more experienced players put some of their saved files towards the end of their games in hear. I'm just curious how they look when y'all are about to win. At the end of my games I have a huge empire because I keep most the cities I conquer this doesn't seem pop. With a lot of people here. I am just trying to improve my gameplay any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Rather than asking for a bunch of late-game saves to be posted, you should explore those that are already available in the Game of the Month forum (http://forums.civfanatics.com/forumdisplay.php?f=411) and in the Civ V Hall of Fame (http://hof.civfanatics.net/civ5/). In each case, you can download the post-win save file and explore it at your pace. Also, HOF submissions will include an approx. 2/3 save, so you can explore that stage of the game.

If you check the HOF submissions you should see 2 common themes, except in early domination and those are:
1.)Science is a focus. The key to science is growth and not having too many cities. Science is the key to almost everything in civ5.
2.)Tiles are locked down. Although a bit micro-managy it is a good habit to get into early. Aside from the fact you will be maximizing a city's output you will learn a lot about tile yields.

Watch a let's play from maddjin , he is the rock star of civ (even gone mainstream now with the whole package critics and all) . Anyway his vids are quite nice and he has a way to make the play quite lively.

awesome thanks for the advice. Browd those links were exactly what I was looking for and that's exactly what I needed to look at thinking about starting my own challenge coming up soon.

thanks
