There is no paper in the world of Colonization. I guess you know.

If you going to add paper in a mod, then making Printing Press require it for building (or maybe use it) could be a good idea.

Who cares. Do you really want an unnecessary layer of complexity? You do know that it takes more than just tools to make guns in RL, right?

Next we'll have wagons carrying human waste out of the colonies because the game hasn't accounted for it properly haha

There are ways to make ink with out Squid you know.
In old Russia it was done with desiased oak leaves and iron.
