Here's a site for World War II tank info and pictures:

Choose your language, then click "Tanks", then choose which country you want to see the tanks of. I believe they don't have every picture of every single model of tank, but they do have a lot. They also have quite a few pictures of the tanks of the major powers (i.e. US, Britain, Germany, USSR).
 
i have found this resource fantastic for my Egyptian mod.
not only does it have a map, but it also gives all the cities,
a brief history on them, and the ancient Egyptian names are
included. it has been a wonderful tool for me.

6 years and a few months later, I find it necessary to point out that the "History of the Wolrd by Millenium and Centuries" link no longer works.
 
It is not dead that which can eternal lie, and with strange aeons this thread is again ressurected with the question if anyone knows any interesting sites with images of medieval buildings :)

If they are in 3d all the better. I do not care which culture they are, i need all.
 
Just play Age of Empires for historically accurate imagery ;).
