I just installed Civiliation 2: Test of Tme for the first time on my Win7 64bit system, and I'm having an issue with saving scenarios. Downloaded Civ2 ToT scenarios load and play normaly, but when I want to save I get a CTD. The game actually creates a save file, but it's 0 KB in size. This happens with every ToT scenario that I've downloaded. Besides that the game works flawlessly. I can normaly play and save the original game as well as the default scenarios.
While installing Civ2 ToT, I strictly followed the "Civilization II: Test of Time Installation Guide" from Catfish's cave. Here's a list of the installed components in sequence:
1 - The game (Civ2 ToT)
2 - Official Time Threat Paradox Scenario
3 - Official 1.1 Patch
4 - Events Patch for the Midgard Game (Midgard_patch.7z)
5 - Test of Time Patch Project (ToTPP v0.14.1)
6 - Graphics Replacement Pack for the Original game (from Catfish's Cave)
My ToTPP settings are the default ones (almost everything enabled)
Would be great if someone could help me out, since I'd love to play (and BE ABLE TO SAVE) some of the great scenarios that are out there.
