I failed sixth form. Not only could I do the subjects I wanted to do, the subject I ended up doing I ended up getting U in all of them.

Well you can always do the subjects you want to do now. Go to college?

That happened almost a year ago.

So fits in nice with a thread entitled "what did you achieve today"

Seriously CH, just snap out of it. How about you even try being happy, who knows it might just work.. and i certainly know it grates me with everyone of your posts being a mope

@Chukchi Husky. You must have got good GCSEs, though, or the admissions people wouldn't have let you into A-level! Either that or they were really impressed by your potential. :)

Today I defrosted the fridge. It has two modes; freeze solid and dribble. We usually leave it on freeze, but now I can't get stuff out of one compartment because of all the ice. [pissed] Now one of my flatmates thinks I'm because she saw me crouched down, seemingly hiding behind a fridge door, and waving a huge knife. It's the only thing I've got that's capable of scraping ice off, OK?

I also finished tidying my room, and hooverered the hallway and my room.

Nice to hear its not just a house of blokes leave it as a tip ;)

Goddamn, CH, just for me.. go to a mirror and smile at yourself. Pull a funny face or something pleaSE!

slozenger, if you can't comprehend the kind of problems CH has, then maybe you should refrain from posting. I really don't see your belligerent "advice" as having any sort of positive effect here.

Hear, hear.

My homework progress has just stalled because of a logic problem I can't get. I'm not sure if its because the problem is hard or I'm just having a brainfart.

Pah, i disagree. Theres only so much straw this camel can carry.

saw an ex on the street. managed to pretend like i didnt see her, which pissed her off royally.

it was a good day.

best is when your driving past someone and accidently through something out the window at them

It has been a quiet day at work today, so I'll post about last night, which was a quiet one in.

I beat Zimbabwe (by 68 runs with India) in the first of a three series Test Match on EA Cricket 2005. That game is seriously hard to learn and I'm still trying to find some success with it. Scored a half century with Sehwag in the first innings and one with Mongia in the second. But I keep running out my top batsmen with my ineptitude. Ran out Tendulkar for 22, Ganguly for 8! and Dravid also for 8. But this is the first victory I've had and it felt pretty good.

Whilst doing this I devoured some BBC Radio 4 programmes, as follows:

Inside The British Presidency

Friendship - thinking philosophically about our close companions

In Our Time: The Abbasid Caliphs

Oh I also returned those gnomes.

good them gnomes were scary, have you tried brian lara cricket? is far easier to learn.

No, I haven' tried it. I hear that it may be easier to learn but it is a less realistic experience of the game. If you've got any tips on the EA version, I'd be pleased to hear them (here or on PM). But really, I won't be going to get the Brian Lara. I'm not into these things that much. I only own three games, Civ, Age of Empires and the Cricket. I don't even play AoE. It was just a quiet night in listening to some radio shows that i wanted to catch up on (digital 'listen now' totally reinvigorated bbc radio for me).

I remembered that I had to call the place I'm applying for to tell them that my phone number has changed. It's been a slow couple of days.

Tommorow though, I work on winning me girlfriend back!

Today, I won Kan' Sharuminar's girlfriend!

Sorry if that was under-the-belt ;
