Searching the forum
So I've been trying to get into modding Lua for Civ5, and I find a lot of functions on the wiki, without any real descriptions. I find something I think I can use, and try it in my mod. No results, and the whole thing cuts out on the line I put the function call on.
So I decide to try to search on the modding forums for information. I go to the civ5 C&C board, hit search, and what happens? I get told that the function name, which cannot be made shorter, is too long to search for. Is it really a good idea to have that kind of limit on a seach for a forum that has a lot of modding going on? It seems to me like shooting yourself in the foot. Is it some sort of hardcoded thing inherent to the system used, or could it perhaps be changed?

what is the term you were looking for? You can always try the google search in the top right corner.

I was looking for information on Game:SetPlotExtraYield() for use in the Civ5 Lua (and I'm guessing that SetPlotExtraYield is neither too short nor too common - hence probably too long to be taken into account). I've figured it out now, through extensive trial and error (though mostly error), but it would still have been much better if I'd been able to search for it.
And I did try google search, but it since it wasn't specific for that subforum, I got tons of civ4 search answers and none that I could see for civ5.
