Eldorado at marathon speed.

I was the first to find Eldorado at Marathon speed and the reward was 250 gold, I am pretty sure that last time I found it at quick speed the reward was 320 gold. This makes no sense whatsoever, is this another malfunction that has appeared in the Vanilla game in recent times?

I am not certain of this but if I recall correctly Marathon speed used to be 750 gold which is almost enough for two warriors. 250 gold doesn't even buy you a scout (320 gold).

I'm sure its 500g on marathon now.

OP is playing the Vanilla version IIRC
