Ethnic Diversity Units

This model already in game and was created by Firaxis (its Camel Archer - Arabian UU replacment for Knight)

Ok classical era skins almost done and today I start working on South American prehistoric skins. But before I start I have one question: do amazonian tribes should use green leaves or windlestraw as main cloth/armour material. I check google graphics and on mosts pictures they wear old straw skirts or even they are almost naked :)
But green leaves looks better on civ models.

Pretty much naked if your talking Tupi and other amazonian tribes. Not sure about Andes region in that era.

Heres some pictures that may help for Andeans region of South America:

Looks like a halbred almost?

Note that many incan things have already been made by Bakuel.

@Sparth

I think either could work. Aesthetically I think green leaves look better, bit I think realistically it would be brown due to the clothing drying out and using fibers rather than say large banana leaves. But I think in most cases for South Americans much of their tradition clothing is almost naked. However many have tattoos and/or body paint.

Note I am mainly talking about the Amazon basin and not say the Andes which can be cold and having just a loin cloth is silly.

We just added this as a Moche UU. BTW.

We have the halberd looking on already as a Huaminca the Incan UU.

In fact the South American cultures we have so far are ...

- Arawak = Yurupari
- Argentinian = Gaucho (Needs a model)
- Brazilian = Bandeirante
- Incan = Huaminca
- Jivaro = Headhunter
- Mapuche = Ironwood Clubman (Could use a better model)
- Moche = Si Warrior
- Nazca = ?
- Quechua = Chasquis
- Tupi = Blackwood Archer
- Venezuelan = Llanero

I saw some pictures of some weird looking Nasca warriors, strange to say the very least. I looked up alittle info, only thing I could find besides the bizarre pictures was an article that said towards the end of their civilization the Nasca became more and more violent(headhunting). :confused:

Currently the Nazca Lines wonder gives two Nazca Workers that can only build the Geoglyph improvement. Perhaps they could be merged into a Nazca unit instead.

I hope you don't mean these ...

These are concept art from "Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull". As far as I know they are not historically accurate and just made for Hollywood.

Yeah thats what I mean, nothing really substantual in terms of real Nasca warriors unfortunately. What could be done is to have a warrior with maybe a spiked club and a shield engraved with something resembling one of the nasca line glyphs, just an idea.

While on this topic I couldn't resist:

What-if transhuman(or galactic) native unit? Its from Rise of Legends. :lol:

Hydro do you still have any art lying around from the Mastica mod that could be used as concept art? Another idea....

Sadly most of that stuff got lost due to a virus years ago.

However some stuff still exists on the NWN Vault. Here are just some cool stuff from RoM (Roads of Maztica).

- Maztica Golem
- Maztica Gear
- Maztica Pottery
- Kroqadilla

For those who don't know, I use to make a bunch of animal for NWN as well as Meso-American stuff in a mod called "Roads of Maztica". Maztica is like the Aztec/Mayan area of of the globe in the D&D Forgotten Realms world.

On a side note on the planet of Toril their regions basically equate to ...

Faerun = Europe
Maztica = Mesoamerica
Kara-Tur = Asia
Zakhara = Middle East

Not so realistic BUT,,, is there any way to incorporate ALL the shields as the cultures flag, i see this happen in BtS shield, and that is really likeable, at least to me, what do you'll think??
