Mining on Peaks

I spent 2 hours looking thru 25-30 pages & couldn't find answer; can a player in the bronze era time mine on a peak??? I thought after obtaining mule workers I could, from pedia, but not able to figure out. This the second game in which I come to this era and not have access to either tin or copper!! Hours of play for naught. Is there another Tech needed??

Also, is SVN the only way to install new upgrades??? It takes me numorous times reading these things to understand what they mean. Is there a video that would help??

You need mountaineering to build any improvements on a peak, and you need explosives to build a mountain mine.

Copper and Tin spawn on other plots too, not only mountains.

For awhile they did not. But that was supposed to be fixed by now.
