Information & rules cut, pasted and slightly changed from The Deity Challenge Lineup:

Spoiler :
All games in this series will be set to IMMORTAL difficulty. User civilizations, maps, and opponents will change each game, but the pace will always be set at standard and the starting era will always be ancient. We will try for a variety of starts, and not just having a crazy warmonger as your next door neighbor (although there will be that too). This isn't a competition so there will be no predefined victory conditions. New challenges in the series will be posted every other Wednesday.

Who can play?
Anybody can play. The more the merrier. Even if you normally don't play immortal games you are still welcome to try. The games can become great learning resources for the player trying to improve. Even if you don't finish the game, we are still interested to hear about your experience.

Do's and Don'ts
We are going to be using the honor system. Feel free to restart, reload, play the same game multiple times, but don't use the science overflow exploit. Also please don't edit the game in IGE. If you do chose to cheat, please don't share your results in the comments. Also, please use the spoiler tag if you post a picture, comment about neighboring civs, close by wonders, or locations of ancient ruins.

Also, please tell us about your Build Order, Social Policies, Tech Order, and what type of wonders you went after. I know a lot of this stuff seems pretty mundane to the experienced player, but the details are incredibly useful to people trying to learn.

Future Games in the Series
I want users to submit saves from turn 0. Preferably the person submitting the game has played enough turns to know the map is either difficult, fun, or unique in some enjoyable way. Write a short description as to why it is special and email the save to immortalchallengelineup@gmail.com

Important
If you submit a game for the challenge, you must have the DLC map packs disabled. Not everybody has them and they are honestly kind of useless. Having them disabled will allow more participants.

I think what we have here is the polite host catering those who wanted tougher maps.

Doesn't look that hard to me! Oasis, mountain and floods. Take a 2 turn walk and settle next to the mountain.

Oh, I wasn't implying that the map would be hard but at least the starting warrior isn't knee deep in salt and without river and no luxes on sight this looks worse than the previous one(s). If nothing else some moving is highly encouraged.

Hmmm...I am one of the guys who requested a "lousy" start. This certainly is lots worse than the past few games. I hate to waste turn(s) to move the settler as I want to start right away, but this does indeed look like they have to take a walk.

I was hoping to play this tonight, but likely won't get the chance to. Last night something in my main computer went bad when the power went out. I have a back up computer, but hadn't used it for Civ in 2 years so it doesn't have BNW installed.

I installed BNW and keep getting errors so I unistalled and deleted everything pertaining to Civ and am reinstalling.

CD's here, not DL from steam, although of course I have the DLC's but my rural internet isn't likely to be done with DLC and patch downloads for a couple hours.

Spoiler :
Played 50 turns before bed last night. Moved over to the Kilo/Petra area. Stole workers from Japan and Singapore. Currently planning on Domination since all units from the capital will have the movement promo. Will update later.

Just finished the map myself!

Spoiler :
I moved towards the desert and settled my capital on hill next to Mt.Kilmanjaro with two luxuries in reach.

Decided to go for domination and to do a honor start. No tradition and or liberty!

Teched Pottery and mining then I belined to Petra and kicked out two more settlers. After Petra I went for a late NC.

Got desert folklore, founded a religion. Took 2+ happy and 2+ culture from temples because of Askias awesome UB that I wanted to build anyway. Then I spent my faith on spreading the religion for 100+ early gold boosts. Took cheap missionaries but they sucked. I like messiah better!

Got good early flow of culture and managed to fill two threes and dip in a third before Autocracy.

Full honor, full commerse. Two left and one right in rationalism.

When my empire was ready I started my killing spree and conquered every single AI-city on the map.

I really like Songhai for domination games. The extra early culture from temples is nice and the UU is decent as well!

Spoiler :
I've played about 150 turns now. I'll post a screen or two tomorrow. I had honestly forgotten how smooth a warmonger Askia is. I've gone Tradition/Patronage and all of that delicious city loot keeps turning into new CS allies. MPM & Pagoda is pretty slick for border expansion too, I can hardly remember buying a single tile. Ghandi built about 8 wonders and I just captured Delhi. Fun map. :)

Come on! The map is fun! And luxuries is for chickens!

Spoiler :
I moved my warrior east and spotted Mount Kil so waddled the settler there as it is such a nice tile to have. The ruin now within city boundaries opened instantly and was culture so I had almost instant Tradition.

Oda has conquered almost all of France and is hated. Ghandi has so many wonders. Turn 142 and my religion is strong and I see my victims and then can liberate French cities to reduce WM hate.

More details later as am not home.

Spoiler :
Played up to T195. Finishing off Domination games always a bit slow since there are so many units to move. I've completely eliminated India, France, and Japan. The army is currently marching east. After I used the city loot to ally every CS, DoWed the rest of the world. Getting all of the CS to grind on Portugal and the Huns has definitely softened them up, so the game should be over very quickly.

Scholasticism and Cultural Diplomacy have made science and happiness trivial.

@neilkaz

Did France try to settle between you and Japan?

In my game he escorted a settler down but I had just built near the gems so he wound up turning back. This is after I had DoW'd him and stole 2x workers and he had taken white peace.

Man, looks like General Sherman ran all over your capital.

Askia do not care about what he's got - he just wants moar!

Two pesky bazooka-barbs showed up late and did a number while my army and workers was about to take out the remaining civ on the other side of the map.

I did some OCC next to Mt Kili to make things interesting.

Won CV T391 xD

To the game:
I got early DF but india founded religion with pagodas and mosques so i did not found one but hoped he would spread it to my lands. so i planted my GP. But then France founded and his religion never came to me which resulted in 3 planted GP...^^

Biggest problem in the end was the lack of a dominant religion which resulted in my not being able to buy great persons for the 7k Faith i had... Some musicians could have helped a bit....

Rest of the game was wonderwhoring and 4 wars with japan, 3 with France which forced me to build some units but i had enough spare hammers and the city was on a good defensive spot.

With OCC its hard to get the science and tourism going so CV took a while.
But with Ideologies some interesting thigns happened. I did go with Freedom with Siam and India following me which led to a slighty revolutionary wave in the lands of Attila

Spoiler :

This led to 5 flipped cities in total. The first was the former capital of Brasil which i gladly Liberated xDDDDDDDDD

Spoiler :

The other cities i sold to some investors for 30-60gpt ;)

It was a fun to have some spare culture :)

Basically France made too many cities, settled close to Oda which always pisses him off and Oda punished him taking many French cities including Paris.

Spoiler :
T227 Domination Victory. Not much to say about the last 75 turns - neither Portugal, Siam, nor the Huns put up much resistance. Most of the cities during the last phase took only 1-2 turns to capture. Once the empire got it's hands on all the wonders Ghandi built things got a little out of hand. But honestly all of the heavy lifting was done by the army I built 100 turns ago. The supply line became 10 turns long so after a while the home cities just spammed happiness and random stuff. Sacrificing a hoard of Hakkapellittas to Attilla's Court to shave a few turns off the win was amusing.

Full Tradition/Patronage. 2 in Rati, 6 in Autocracy. Patronage finisher gave me one whopping GE for the whole game. Ironically United Front was insanely useful and I didn't get to use Mobilization at all.

Thanks for the fun map.
